Meet Our Providers

Dr. Stacey Benson is the President and CEO of Benson Psychological Services, PC. Dr. Benson was born in Fargo, North Dakota and graduated from Moorhead State University before attending graduate school at the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology. She did her internship in a federal prison (FCI-Tallahassee), and her residency at Southeast Human Service Center in Fargo, ND. Dr. Benson was the chief psychologist at a community mental health center in Fargo for 10 years, prior to resigning to focus full time at her private practice.
Dr. Benson is a licensed psychologist with over 25 years’ experience providing clinical and forensic work. Dr. Benson provides forensic evaluations, expert testimony and clinical consultation to attorneys on a wide variety of forensic cases, but with specific expertise in working with individuals charged or convicted of a sexual crime. She has testified in state, federal and military court and has testified numerous times in Civil Commitment hearings of Sexually Dangerous Individuals. Other areas of forensic specialties include competency evaluations, criminal responsibility, threat assessments, violence risk, psychological injuries, parental capacities and more.
Dr. Benson belongs to local and national organizations and has taken leadership roles in both. She has been a board member of the North Dakota Psychological Association since 2005 and served as President for two of those years. She has served 6 terms as North Dakotas Council Representative to the American Psychological Association. Dr. Benson has met with Senators Byron Dorgan, Kent Conrad, Heidi Heitkamp and Representative Earl Pomeroy to lobby for issues directly related to the provision of quality mental health services and issues related to access to care. Dr. Benson is a member of the Association for the Treatment and Prevention of Sexual Abuse (ATSA), the Minnesota Association for the Treatment and Prevention of Sexual Abusers (Mn-ATSA), the North Dakota Psychological Association (NDPA). She is an alumni of APA’s Leadership Institute for Women. Dr. Benson is a certified trainer in the Static 99R, Stable 2007 and Acute 2007, the most well studied and most used assessment instruments for sexual offenders in the world, and she has trained providers in Minnesota, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wyoming, Florida and New York.
She taught Human Sexuality at North Dakota State University from 2000-2016 and was a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of North Dakota’s medical school from 2017-2023, where she supervised 4th year psychiatry residents on their forensic rotation.
In 2014 she co founded the non-profit STAND, which provides sex offender treatment to men, women and children throughout the state of North Dakota, with current offices in Fargo, Jamestown, Bismarck, Minot, Devils Lake, Grand Forks, Dickinson, and Williston.
She has spoken at the University of North Dakota Medical School’s Grand Rounds, at the University of North Dakota, North Dakota State University, Minnesota State University-Moorhead, Merit Care, Sanford, Prairie St. John’s, the North Dakota State Penitentiary, the North Dakota Psychological Association, the Minnesota Association for the Treatment and Prevention of Sexual Abuse Annual Conferences, PATH foster care annual conference and the Red River Children’s Advocacy Center, as well as on local radio and television regarding sexual offenders.
Dr. Benson has been nominated for Teacher of The Year by the Psychiatry Residents of the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences, for APA’s State Leadership Award by the North Dakota Psychological Association. She was awarded YWCA’s Women of the Year 2018 in the category of Health and Wellness, was named a MSUM Distinguished Alumni in 2023 and was the first recipient of the ATSA Changemaker Award in 2025.


Dr. Eileen Stone is a licensed clinical psychologist who has experience working with people of all ages. She specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents and their families who present with a variety of emotional, behavioral and social needs. Areas of expertise include treatment of children and adolescents with anxiety, depression, ADHD, oppositional behaviors, adjustment to life stressors, grief and self-harm. Dr. Stone has a special interest in working with individuals who are coping with long term or traumatic medical conditions.
In therapy, Dr. Stone uses a variety of therapeutic techniques to tailor treatment for each individual. She strives to understand the many pieces that contribute to well-being and mental health and works in a strength-based and positive mindset.
Dr. Stone earned her undergraduate degree at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and her master and doctorate degrees from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She did her internship sub-specializing in primary care at VA Gulf Coast Veterans Healthcare System in Biloxi, Mississippi. Dr. Stone completed a two year post-doctoral fellowship in child psychology at Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield, Wisconsin.
Dr. Stone has over twenty years of experience working both on an outpatient basis and with those in the medical hospital. She has given a variety of community presentations on a variety of topics related to the well-being of children, adolescents, and adults in our community.

Dr. Mugge received her bachelor's degree from Iowa State University and her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Dakota. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center/Veterans Affairs Medical Center, specializing in adult neuropsychological assessment and treatment; trauma and deployment recovery; child assessment and therapy; child maltreatment; and geropsychology. Other experiences include providing clinical services within psychiatric and medical inpatient settings and community mental health clinics.
She is a member of the American Psychological Association, Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA), the American Institute for the Advancement of Forensic Studies, and American Psychology-Law Society (Division 41). She is currently the President of the North Dakota Psychological Association. She is credentialed with the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.

She has over 10 years of experience in providing counseling to individuals (children, adolescents, and adults), couples, families and groups. She graduated from North Dakota State University and did her internship at Southeast Human Service Center and Wahpeton State College of Science.
Usha has clinical experience in providing Sleep Therapy, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Treatment Program developed at Harvard Medical School.
In addition she has extensive clinical experience in Internet Addiction Therapy, Therapy for Anxiety, Depression, Relationship, Self-esteem, Personal-growth, Anger-management, Stress-management, Trauma, Change of Life Stage, and Loss and Grief. She incorporates strength based holistic approach.

Jamie typically uses the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and also provides Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Jamie also likes to incorporate a variety of other techniques into therapy including art, movement and play. She finds that play is an important way for children to learn and express themselves. Jamie is passionate with ongoing collaboration with families. She also provides parenting support, and education of strategies to utilize to assist families with managing behaviors.
Jamie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Addiction Studies from Minot State University. She earned her Masters in Counseling from the University of Mary. Her work experience includes clinical services in a psychiatric inpatient/partial hospitalization, outpatient therapy services, and residential treatment for adolescents.

Randi utilizes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches and she is also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD. Randi believes in the importance of family engagement and offers family support and education throughout the therapeutic process.
Randi received her Masters Degree in Community Counseling from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She has worked within community mental health since 2007.

Rachel Thiel is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who has experience working with all ages, groups, and families. Areas of interest include working with couples and adults with a history of trauma, anxiety, depression, self-harming behaviors, and relationship/family issues. Rachel offers a variety of therapeutic techniques to help meet each client’s specific needs, with preference to cognitive behavioral therapy, and existential therapy. Her goal is to help each individual client meet and obtain their goals in a way that is tailored to their needs.
Rachel earned her undergraduate degrees in psychology and interdisciplinary studies from the University of North Dakota and graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling at the University of Mary. Rachel has experience working with adults in both outpatient and inpatient settings. She also has experience working with children and adolescents in both outpatient and in-home settings.

Joely Davidson is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Supervisor specializes in the treatment of children, families, and adults in the Fargo area. She believes that therapy is tailored specifically to the individual and families that she serves. As a counselor, Joely’s goal is to support individuals and families during difficult times in their lives so that they can feel empowered to reach their goals.
In addition to providing individual and family therapy, Joely typically uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and also has training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), FirstPlay, Mindfulness, and training from the mental health professional group within the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) to support couples through their infertility journey. Her passion includes trauma work, anxiety, depression, adjustment/life transitions, grief, behavioral challenges, and infertility.
Joely earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Women Studies from Minnesota State University Minnesota and her Master’s Degree in Community Counseling through University of Mary. Her work experience includes both outpatient and in-home settings providing individual and family therapy.

Kasidy provides compassionate, evidence-based support to individuals and families navigating emotional and behavioral challenges. Her approach includes helping clients build skills for emotional regulation, develop healthy boundaries, and process difficult life experiences.
Kasidy offers specialized support for children and adolescents exhibiting Problematic Sexual Behaviors (PSB), using structured, non-shaming interventions that actively involve caregivers and promote lasting change within the family system.
Kasidy utilizes a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to each client’s needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). These methods support healing in both the mind and body, empowering clients to better understand and manage emotions, thoughts, and past experiences.
Kasidy understands how difficult it can be to reach out for support, especially when it comes to mental health. Whether you're seeking help for yourself, your child, or your family, taking that first step takes real courage. Her goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered.

Dr. Beachy specializes in the assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders like ADHD as well as other psychiatric disorders including but not limited to mood, personality and trauma and stressor-related disorders. She is particularly passionate about psychological assessment and its’ use as a tool to gain a comprehensive clinical picture of an individual to aid in providing diagnostic clarity and appropriate treatment recommendations. Forensically, she has particular interest in Parental Capacity evaluations, and evaluations of youth with problematic sexual behaviors.
Outside of work, you can find Dr. Beachy curled up with a good book and a cup of coffee, at the lake in the summertime and playing with her puppy, Leni.

Dr. O’Neill has spent the past several years conducting comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluations in academic, medical, and vocational settings. She specializes in the assessment of ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and complex diagnostic questions, including evaluations for individuals seeking accommodations, returning to work, or navigating legal systems. She also has experience working with acquired brain injuries such as traumatic brain injury (TBI) and stroke, as well as conducting diagnostic clarification and rule-out evaluations involving dual or overlapping conditions. Her goal is to provide diagnostic clarity and functional recommendations that feel meaningful and practical, while making the process feel human, not intimidating.
In her free time, she’s likely curled up with a movie, eyeing the dessert menu, or questioning why she owns so many black clothes while living with two white cats who have no respect for personal space.

Mary has specific interest in therapy and assessment with forensic populations. She has worked in a variety of settings with a range of age groups, including foster homes, residential treatment centers, and in-home therapy. Recently, she worked for a year at the Red River Child Advocacy Center administering various trauma screeners and assessments to children ages 3-17 years old. Mary also has experience working in corrections, working as a clinical intern at James River Correctional Center, where she conducted group therapies, individual therapy, and completed diagnostic assessments.
Mary started working at Benson’s Psychological Services the fall of 2023. Mary has assisted on forensic evaluations with record review, intake interviews, and administering and scoring various psychological assessments.
In her free time, Mary enjoys playing tennis and baking for her friends and family.
